Characteristics of mold core materials
P20: Generally suitable for plastic molds that require high hardness, high toughness and wear resistance. After nitriding, the life of the mold can be increased. It is suitable for thermoplastic plastics such as PS, PE, PP, ABS, etc. that do not add fire retardants. It is a commonly used mold core material in molds, and its price is relatively low.
738: All performances are improved compared to P20, and 738H is better than 738, and the life of the mold is correspondingly increased.
NAK80: The performance of EDM and polishing is relatively good. It is generally used in plastic products with high transparency requirements.
2316: Suitable for molds of high-acid plastics, with high finish and high acid resistance. It is generally used in molds of plastic materials for molding PVC.
2344: Generally used in plastic hard molds, its mold life can reach 1 million times, but due to the high cost of the mold, it is suitable for plastic products with relatively large product output.
