A Printer is one of the output devices of a computer, which is used to print the results of computer processing on related media. There are three indicators to measure the quality of a printer: print resolution, print speed and noise. There are many types of printers, according to the printing elements on the paper whether there is an impact printer and non-impact printer. According to the print character structure, full shape character printer and dot matrix character printer. The way a line of words is formed on a piece of paper, a string printer and a line printer. According to the technology used, it is divided into column, spherical, inkjet, thermal, laser, electrostatic, magnetic, light-emitting diode and other printers.

Injection Molding introduction

‌ Injection molding ‌ is a process by which molten plastic or other thermoplastic materials are injected into a mold by an injection machine and cooled and solidified to obtain the desired shape. Injection molding is widely used in the production of plastic products, with the advantages of high efficiency, accuracy and wide range of adaptation.

The basic principle of injection molding is to add granular or powdered raw materials to the hopper of the injection machine, the raw materials melt in a flowing state under high temperature and high pressure, and then push through the screw or piston of the injection machine to inject into the mold cavity. After cooling and curing in the mold, the product is removed from the mold, and the whole molding process is completed.

The main equipment for injection molding is the injection molding machine, which is able to inject the molten plastic into the mold. The design of the mold is crucial, often using computer aided design (CAD) to create the mold, which is made of metal (such as steel or aluminum) and finished by CNC machining. The mold is divided into two parts, respectively fixed in the clamping unit of the injection molding machine.

What is Printer Moulding Plastic Injection Molding?

Printer Moulding Plastic Injection Molding refers to the process of manufacturing plastic components for printers using injection molding technology. This method is widely used in the production of printer housings, internal structural parts, cartridges, and other essential plastic components.

Common Printer Parts Made by Injection Molding

Printer Housing & Covers – Made from ABS or PC for durability and aesthetics.

Paper Trays & Feeders – Typically PP or ABS for lightweight and impact resistance.

Cartridge Components – Ink and toner cartridge shells, usually made from ABS or nylon.

Buttons & Control Panels – Made from PC, PMMA, or ABS for durability and clarity.

Internal Gears & Rollers – Nylon or POM (Polyoxymethylene) for high wear resistance.
