Commonly used plastics for elevator parts
1. Polyamide
Polyamide, also known as nylon PA, is a polymer material with excellent performance and wide application. It has the advantages of high strength, good rigidity, strong wear resistance and good impact resistance. It is widely used in elevator sheet metal, pinion, sprocket and other parts.
2. Polyetherketone
Polyetherketone (PEEK) is a high-performance engineering plastic with extremely high temperature stability, excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and excellent mechanical properties. It is a durable special engineering material. In the elevator industry, it is often used in parts such as safety ropes, pressure wheels and guide wheels.
3. Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate is a transparent, hard, high temperature resistant, flame retardant, corrosion resistant and insulating engineering plastic. It is widely used in the elevator industry to make scale plates, control panels, protective covers, screws and shafts and other parts because of its good mechanical properties and high temperature resistance.
In addition to the above three types of plastics, there are some commonly used plastics, such as ABS plastic, polypropylene, polyethylene, etc., which have a wide range of applications. ABS plastic is often used to make elevator handles, control consoles, door alarms and other parts, while polyethylene and polypropylene have a lower density and better toughness, and are widely used to make elevator support seats, baffles, bearings and other parts.
