Product Introduction

Products Description

This is a part of the printer, which is subject to vibration and friction. The work piece material requires good toughness and low surface roughness. The parts are simple in structure, regular in shape and can be produced in large quantities. The use of a single-parting surface injection mold is conducive to reducing the complexity of the Printer Plastic Injection Mold and is conducive to mold processing and manufacturing. There is only one parting surface, which can be designed as a single-cavity mold or a multi-cavity mold as required. The working process of the single-parting surface Printer Plastic Injection Mold is: mold clamping—mode locked—injection—pressure holding—plastic replenishment—cooling—mold opening—pulling out the plastic parts.

The Printer Plastic parts material is HIPS, which is a modified material of PS. It contains 5% to 15% of rubber components in the molecule. It has good toughness, high impact strength, good molding performance and strong tinting strength. HIPS products are opaque and low in water absorption, and do not require pre-drying. Main performance indicators: bending strength 13.8~55.1MPa; tensile strength 13.8~41.4MPa; elongation at break 15%~75%; Vicat softening point 185°~220°F.

Prototyping

On-Demand Manufacturing

Objective

I need to validate my design at Protolabs speeds. I need the flexibility to economically iterate before production.

I have on-demand production needs at Protolabs speeds.

Best When

● Completing design or material iterations, and assessing cost or manufacturability tradeoffs

● Key focus is to reduce design risk, increase R&D productivity, and iterate faster to reduce time to market

● Typical Quantities<2,000

● Design is finalized and run-to-run part consistency is critica

● lKey focus is to improve quality, reduce cost, and mitigate supply chain risk

● Process development, qualification documentation, and mold capability information is required
